Nuclear Medicine Department

    There are 29 staff members in the nuclear medicine department, including 2 chief physicians, 3 deputy chief physicians, 1 deputy chief technicians, 7 master students and 2 doctoral students. The department consists of PET/CT, SPECT/CT, radioimmunology and radionuclide therapy wards. It undertakes medical, teaching and research work. At present, there are PET/CT, dual-probe SPECT/CT, thyroid dynamometer, CASE exercise ECG testing system, technetium gas generator, activity meter, DXI-800 immunoanalyzer and SN-697 full-automatic gamma counter. It has carried out more than 20 visceral imaging examinations and examined more than 7000 patients annually.

    Thirty-five beds were opened in nuclear medicine wards to treat hyperthyroidism, thyroid cancer metastases, bone metastases and rheumatoid arthritis. The department pays attention to teaching, and has become the conferment point of master's degree of taishan medical college and the national standardized training base for resident doctors. In recent years, the department has trained more than 200 resident doctors.

    At present, the Department undertakes one project of Shandong Medical and Health Science and Technology Development Plan, and has completed more than 10 provincial and municipal scientific research projects. It has won the third prize of Shandong Medical Science and Technology Progress, the third prize of Shandong Pharmaceutical Association, the first prize of Liaocheng Science and Technology Progress and the second prize of Liaocheng Science and Technology Progress,8 third prizes. More than 100 academic papers have been published in professional magazines at home and abroad, including 4 articles by SCI and 20 articles in Chinese series magazines. The technical level of departments is in the advanced rank in nuclear medicine in the province.
